Cover Story: Taapsee Pannu says she's on cloud nine these days after the success of Dunki

Pannu Taapsee.Every time you see her, there's something so charming about her that you forget you're seeing a star. She would inquire about your family, health, and coworkers before sneaking into the conversation since she is so aware of what is going on in the world. And during the interview, she would give you her whole attention. There would be no sound from the phone. She would request that her manager not disturb her and consider each question before responding. She may have grown as an actor in front of the camera, but she remains witty, intelligent, and unafraid to call a spade a spade. She is also confident in her ability to compete with anyone. 

What was your response when the movie Dunki was offered to you, and how did you obtain it?

I never would have imagined that I would be offered a movie like this or that I could be in one with Shah Rukh Khan when I first learned that Rajkumar Hirani was producing a movie. Subsequently, I learned that Taapsee Pannu had been offered the film. "The media has already broken the news to you, so now I also want to officially say that you listen to this story," stated Raju sir over the phone a few days later. There was no way this could be real. They say that your credibility determines whether or not you are hired.

Did you converse with SRK while the shoot was in progress?

He tells stories rather skillfully. His speech pattern and sense of humour are typical of a Delhite, and because I'm from Delhi too, I would get along well with him. I've got the chance to spend time with him away from the set and get to hear about his viewpoints on a variety of topics.

Which moment in the movie was the easiest and which the most challenging?

The final sequence was really difficult. We were filming in Mumbai in May, and I was wearing a bodysuit and prosthetic. Completing Dunki's climax was mentally taxing for me. We were doing a romance between two senior citizens. Since it was the last sequence in the movie, I had to control my true emotions when I was working with SRK. Although it was a moving scene, I felt emotionally and physically exhausted afterward. Raju sir was anxious since my performance in the scene mattered.
