Just so you know, Sobhita Dhulipala tried out for Monkey Man in 2016

 There's good news for fans of Sobhita Dhulipala. The actress unveiled the trailer for Monkey Man, her big-screen debut. Dev Patel, who also makes his directing debut, plays the lead in the film. In the teaser, we follow Dev Patel's character as he sets out on a quest to exact revenge on the dishonest officials who murdered his mother. The Hanuman legend serves as the basis for this Indian setting story. In the video, Dev's character can be seen participating in an underground fight club and earning money from it. The protagonist dons a gorilla mask for the combat.

In addition, we see brief moments of Dev playing with his mother when he was younger and discover the awful events that led to her passing. He's resolved to exact revenge on her killer when he gets older. Conversely, Sobhita's persona is depicted labouring in an apparent nightclub. She gives Dev advice in one occasion, saying, "You need to fight for your mother." 

"An absolute joy to share the trailer of my debut Hollywood film #MonkeyMan," the video's title says. Released in theatres worldwide on April 5th. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap tweeted, "Looking super," along with a fire emoji, upon his viewing of the trailer. Star of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan Siddhant Chaturvedi wrote, "Wow!!!" along with an emoji of a comet. Adarsh Gourav said, "I'm really looking forward to this! Looks absolutely mental!!”. Ida Ali, the daughter of director Imtiaz Ali, wrote, "Cannot wait!!!"
