Siddharth Anand Says "They Didn't Understand" About The Fighter's Poor Box Office Performance In India

Fighter is thriving in international countries, but in India, the reception has been muted. On the heels of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Republic Day release, there were high expectations. Recently, Siddharth Anand experienced great success with Pathaan (2023). The movie, which was Shah Rukh Khan's return to Bollywood, took home an incredible 543.22 crores in Indian revenue and was a box office success. War, which he earlier collaborated in with Hrithik Roshan and grossed 319 crores domestically, was another hit. The publicity tactics were poor, and the premiere was not what it should have been—a blockbuster.

Fighter gave a boring response, for two reasons, according to Siddharth Anand.
